Worship Services and Styles

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church has a variety of worship services and styles to proclaim the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. They are:

Traditional Service

Held on Sunday at 8:00 a.m., this service includes liturgical traditions and hymns blended with some familiar southern gospel favorites. We have a staffed nursery available for children on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m.

Multi-Cultural Praise Service

Held on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., our contemporary worship service is lead by our Pastors and praise team. This service includes a children's message and popular worship songs. We have a staffed nursery available for children. We also offer a Spanish translation of this worship service and hope to add other translations as needed.

Evening Prayer Service

Our Saturday Evening Prayer Service is designed to be more of a prayer and meditative service inspired by the Taize Community in France. The songs are designed to be simple and sung multiple times to allow the worshiper to mediate on the meaning of the words. In time, we hope to have many of the lay people involved in the service along with offering hands on experiential events for confession, communion and other various aspects of the worship service. We hope this new style of service will be another way for us to reach the lost while also growing those within our worship community.
